The First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The other area of interest is the Policy Committee. On Sept. 23, 215 the Policy Committee will be addressing the policy 602.12 Class Size. As per the 2015-2016 Negotiated Master Agreement the BCEA may have ad hoc members at the table for those discussions. We may have one representative from each grade level for a total of 3 members on the committee. If you are interested in serving please contact Tryntje Van Slyke. This is a public meeting and as such, the public may also express their opinion to the committee. If you have one, please contact John Blackman and let him know your thoughts and ask that they be shared at the public meeting.
Finally, we need to start attending Blaine County Board of Trustee Meetings in force. The members of the Board need to see our faces and know we care about our schools. Please make a commitment to attend at least one Board meeting this school year. Meeting dates, times, and locations are posted on our BCEA calendar. Please note that the meetings have moved from the District Office to the Minnie Moore Room of the Community Campus.
